Easy Turmeric Latte

A delicious warming beverage made with turmeric, nut milk, cinnamon, and other Indian spices. A great alternative to coffee and other caffeinated beverages.

Prep Time 2 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 12 minutes
Servings 2 cups

  • 2 1/2 cups almond milk (preferably unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or MCT oil
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger, sliced
  • pinch of black pepper
  • sweetener, to taste (optional)

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir with a whisk. Bring to a light boil. After about 10 minutes, turn off the heat.

  2. To create the frothy texture, pour the mixture into a blender using a strainer (only if your blender can handle hot beverages). Blend for about 30 seconds (be careful not to hurt yourself since the liquid is hot!).

  3. Sprinkle a little ground cinnamon at the bottom of your cups, if you'd like to make it a little fancier. Then pour the turmeric milk into the two cups (if you skipped the blender, be sure to use a strainer to remove the ginger).

  4. Scoop out any remaining froth from the blender. Be sure to wash your blender immediately to prevent stains from the turmeric. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Turmeric will stain your blender, so immediately wash it out with soap. Ideally, you want to use a blender with a glass jar that won't stain.
