    What is cinnamon sugar?

Cinnamon sugar is a blend of two ingredients that comes together to give a warm and sweet flavor to whatever it's used in. The only two ingredients used are ground cinnamon and granulated sugar.

Simply whip up a batch of this spice mixture in minutes and store it in a sealed jar. It's so easy to make at home you'll wonder why you've never tried it before!

    How to make cinnamon sugar

Cinnamon sugar is easy to make that you'll never bother purchasing store-bought again!

Measure out the ingredients. While it's easy to make, there is such a thing as the perfect ratio when it comes to this spice mixture so you want to take a few extra seconds to measure out the ingredients.

Mix until well combined. Using a spoon, fork, or a small whisk, mix the ingredients until all of the lumps are removed. Or you can add both ingredients to a small jar and shake until well combined.

Store in an airtight jar or container. I like to use a spice funnel to easily pour into a glass spice jar and seal tight. So easy and so much better than store-bought.

You could also make extra jars, add a custom spice label, and gift it to family and friends for the holidays.

    Ways to use it

The nice thing about cinnamon sugar is that you can use pretty much use it on anything. It can be used as a topping on cinnamon toast, cookies, churros, french toast, cinnamon tortilla chips, granola, pretzels, popcorn. You could roll donut holes and muffins in it. And we're just getting started.

So the next time you find yourself craving a sweet treat, whip up a quick batch of this spice mixture, and sprinkle away!

    Commonly asked questions

How long will it stay fresh? It will stay perfectly fresh for 1-2 years if stored in an airtight container in a cool and dry place.

Can you use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar? Yes, you can use brown sugar instead.

What is the best cinnamon sugar ratio? For every ¼ cup of sugar, use 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. Therefore, for 1 cup of sugar, use ¼ cup cinnamon or for ½ cup of sugar, use 2 tablespoons of cinnamon.
